The Origin of Truffle Munch
Truffle Munch was born out of love and the COVID-19 pandemic
Meet Erin & Troy
Erin, who always enjoyed culinary exploration, made a life change when the pandemic arrived. She was fortunate to be able to leave her job as a nurse to help her three kids with their remote learning. Meanwhile, Erin’s husband Troy was busier than ever. A thoracic surgeon, Troy had a particularly tough day at the hospital one day in 2021. To cheer him up, Erin lovingly made him a treat with truffles and popcorn. After the first bite, Troy smiled and promptly dubbed it “truffle munch.” Erin then began making Truffle Munch for family and friends. Now she makes it to bring a smile to you!
(Troy maintains the enviable “job” of being the first to test new flavors before they hit the market.)

Meet Brunello and Gaja
These are the four-legged members of the family. They are both “truffle dogs,” known for their keen sense of smell and lauded for their intelligence, trainability and affectionate nature. Erin and Troy fell in love with the breed during a visit to Italy. Upon returning home from their visit, they found Brunello and soon after adopted his sister Gaja. (Thanks to Taz and Anna Tillery at Shoals Lagotto!) As Erin and Troy continued learning about the breed, they also learned more about the culinary delight of the truffles Lagotto’s hunt, using them for everything from pasta to… popcorn.

Every small batch of Truffle Munch is handcrafted using real truffles and olive oil imported from Italy and organic parmesan cheese. Erin and Troy hope you enjoy this indulgent, delicious treat!
